This is one I took of Kyan the other day. The background is actually the inside of our fire place, and I really like the way it looks. Unfortunately as with many of my shots, the focus is a little off. Michael has since explained to me what I did wrong, so hopefully tomorrow I might try to have another go at it. Meanwhile, I quite like the composition and Kyan's beautiful blue eyes. I haven't altered this photo at all.

What a great expression he has. I think you did a really good job getting the color perfect, especially since this is SOOC.
I have a hard time with focus sometimes too, usually when I am using a wider aperture.

Sweet photo. How are you focusing? Are you using your selective focus points, and, are you using back button focus? One more thing- are you making sure to keep track of your shutter speed? If this is gobbly-goop to you, I'll bump the FAQ thread for you on two peas.
