POTD April 8

I got my new macro lens the other day, so I got some tulips this morning to have a play with. I obviously still have a lot to learn. I am not happy with teh focus in most of the shots. I guess I will have to keep trying...what a shame ;)

Here's a few from today.

I so totally love macro shots, and my new macro lens! I got much better (I hope!) with the focus when I was sure to turn off auto focus, off vibration reduction, use the manual focus, use the delayed shutter or remote, and always, always, the tripod. There are so many great "macro" photogs on this thread!

I ditto Angela's advice. That's what I do (except for the vibration reduction because the Canon doesn't have it). I think you did a great job with these!

That last one is amazing. I love how you captured the drop and more of the stem then you would normally. I think you did great!

The second shot is perfect. The focus is outrageous.

These are great...the macro takes awhile to get used to. Manual focus is a big help :)
